W - Debbie Garrity
My name is Debbie Garrity and I've been working with Sculpey Polymer Clay since 1982. "My specialty has always been whimsical, the "oh, how cute!" figures and characters. I've taught numerous classes throughout the years, have sold to stores all over Michigan and the East Coast and now specialize in wedding cake toppers.(www.polymerclaybabies.com).
When Polyform presented me with the letter W, I knew immediately that my theme would be whimsical. I tried to think of every W word I could; hence, wolfman, witch, wizard, wacky and "weird". I applied liquid Sculpey to a 12 by 12 art canvas, baked it, then sculpted my characters right onto the baked Liquid Sculpey, then baked it again. I love dangling embellishments and hung the word "whimsical" (clay letters) on the bottom with glass beads. I am a devoted fan of Sculpey and plan to be sculpting till I can't turn the knob of the oven on!
