T - Sandy Rollinger
Sandy has been crafting since she was a child. Clay is her all time favorite medium. She started using Sculpey when there was only one color, white. She used to make wedding cake tops and dolls to give to friends at first. Then she discovered craft magazines and that is when she decided to submit some of her designs.
Sandy used several techniques to make her design: mosaics, Skinner blend, caning, her own version of mokume gane for the wood on the tree and simple techniques to make the turtles, etc. She used TLS and Sculpey III to make most of the design. Sandy also used a pasta machine (a clay artists best friend).
