Amazing Halloweenies with Amazing Eraser Clay!
Design by Amy Koranek

Materials:

  • Eraser Clay Assortment Package
  • Some household tools you might want to use for these projects: toothpick or large needle, paring knife, cookie cutters, old rolling pin or heavy glass jar

Directions:

All Amazing Eraser Clay should be conditioned before use. Just knead the clay in your hands until soft and of even consistency. Once your project is complete, bake in your home oven at 250 for 10 minutes. Over baking will cause the erasers to not erase very well. Make sure your oven is the right temperature by checking it with an oven thermometer. Allow the erasers to cool completely before handling them.

If you want to turn your eraser into a pencil topper the eraser needs to be made thick enough to cover the end of a pencil. Before baking, you can gently push the eraser onto a pencil to make a hole in it. Then gently slide the eraser off and bake.

Bat Baby | I want my Mummy | Freaky Frank | Fraidy Cat | Boo!

Bat Baby

  • Shape purple eraser clay into a flat slab. Make the top edge circular by trimming it with a round cookie cutter. Scallop the bottom edge by tracing along the edge of a dime several times.
  • Stick little patches of orange clay onto the wings. Prick the edges of the patches to make them look sewn on.

  • From blue eraser clay shape a small ball for the head, a large teardrop for the body, 2 small teardrops for the feet, 2 small worms for the arms, and 2 tiny teardrops for the ears. Press these into place on top of the purple wings.

  • Youšll need 2 teeny tiny yellow balls for the eyes and a pink one for the nose. Push these into place. Poke a hole in each eye. Score a line in for his mouth and prick 2 fangs on the bottom edge of the mouth. Score lines in each foot for the toes. Add 3 teeny tiny balls onto the end of each arm for fingers. Poke in a belly button.

I Want My Mummy!

  • Shape purple into a thick rectangle. Add a smaller purple rectangular arm onto each side.

  • Roll white as thinly as you can and cut into strips. Criss-cross the white strips across the purple body at all different angles. Just tear the ends to make them the right length. Prick little lines here and there in the white strips to make him look more raggedy.

  • 3. Add a patch of blue and prick it to make it look stitched on. Press 2 little balls of orange on for the eyes and then press smaller yellow balls on top of the orange. Poke 2 eye holes. Press a white nose in front of the eyes. Press on a small strip of pink for the mouth and score a zig-zag smile. Score a line to define each arm and one between the legs.

Freaky Frank

  • From green, shape a large cube, 2 ovals for ears and one for a nose, and a thick square for the neck.

  • Press the ears on the sides of the cube and kinda dent the fronts of the ears with your thumb. Push the neck onto the bottom of the head. Press 2 yellow oval balls on for the eyes and push 2 pink balls on top. Poke a hole in each eye. Make a purple worm and put it across the top of the eyes. Press the nose in place just under the eyes and poke nostrils in the bottom. Score a zig-zag grin.
  • Shape lots of blue teardrops for the hair. Press the hair all over the head and make some overlap and look messy. For the screws in the neck, make 2 small balls of purple and 2 slightly larger balls. Press the small balls in each side of the neck. Flatten the larger balls and press them on top of the small balls. Make a screw mark on each screw head. Score some scrapes and cuts on his neck and back of his head.

Fraidy Cat

  • With blue, make a 2 fat snakes that are tapered on the ends. Press the snakes together side by side. Bend the snakes into an arch. Shape 4 small balls into feet and press these at the base of the arch. Make a long snake for the tail and press it on.

  • Make a small pink collar and press it on. Make a medium blue ball for the head and push it onto the collar. Place 2 tear drops on top of the head for ears and poke a hole in each one. Press 2 tiny green eyes onto the head and poke holes in them.

  • Shape 2 little purple balls for the muzzle, and after pushing them into place poke whisker marks in each one. Push a teeny tiny pink ball on top of the muzzle. Poke a hole under the muzzle and put a teeny tiny pink tongue inside. Score toe lines in the paws.

BOO!

  • Roll some purple out into a thick slab.
  • Shape 3 orange worms. Bend the worms into the letter "B" and trim them as necessary. Push the "B" on the left edge of the purple slab but leave a border of purple showing.
  • Flatten a blue ball and a green ball right next to the "B". Add a yellow eyeball to each "O" and put a purple ball on top. Score veins all over the eyes.

  • Make a "!" with a pink teardrop and ball. Press these on the end of the word "BOO". Trim the purple all the way around the "BOO!" leaving a border.
